At Casa Loco, we believe that exceptional tequila begins long before it reaches your glass. It starts in the sun-drenched fields of Jalisco, Mexico, where our skilled jimadores cultivate and harvest the finest 100% Blue Weber agave. From there, it undergoes a meticulous process—one rooted in tradition, yet refined to create a tequila that stands apart.
The journey begins in the highlands of Jalisco, where our expert jimadores hand-select mature Blue Weber agave at the peak of perfection. Only the ripest plants—those that have absorbed years of sunlight and rich volcanic soil—are chosen, ensuring that each bottle of Casa Loco starts with the highest-quality ingredients.
Once harvested, our team carefully removes the outer leaves, revealing the piña, or heart, of the agave plant. This is where the magic happens. Rich in natural sugars, the piñas are what give Casa Loco Tequila its smooth, flavorful profile. Unlike mass-produced tequilas that may use the entire plant, we focus solely on the heart to create a more refined and premium product.
After harvesting, the agave piñas are slowly cooked to break down complex sugars before being shredded to extract the sweet agave juice. This liquid gold is the foundation of our tequila, setting the stage for a smooth, authentic taste.
Our extracted agave juice is then fermented and distilled in traditional copper pot stills, a method that enhances purity while preserving the rich, natural flavors of the agave. Copper pot distillation is a time-honored technique used by master distillers to refine and elevate the flavor—a key reason why Casa Loco Tequila is known for its smooth and crisp finish.
After distillation, the journey continues with aging in carefully selected oak barrels. Whether it’s our unaged Blanco, our perfectly rested Reposado, or our luxuriously Añejo, each expression of Casa Loco is given the time and attention it deserves. Aging in oak imparts warm caramel, vanilla, and spice notes, creating a depth of flavor that distinguishes Casa Loco Tequila from the rest.
The final step in our process is bottling—the moment when all the hard work, craftsmanship, and tradition come together. Each bottle is carefully filled, sealed, and labeled, ensuring that when you pour a glass of Casa Loco Tequila, you’re experiencing authentic Jalisco craftsmanship with every sip.
From farm to bottle, our tequila is more than just a spirit—it’s a testament to the artistry, dedication, and heritage of Jalisco’s finest tequila makers. Whether you're sipping Blanco, savoring Reposado, or indulging in Añejo, each expression of Casa Loco Tequila tells a story of passion and authenticity.
So raise your glass, embrace the Loco spirit, and enjoy tequila the way it was meant to be.
